A previous homeowner built the deck years before. It was an add on to the original deck so in doing so, created the additional at a lower level than the previous. Being a ½ step lower, created a dangerous trip hazard. Plan was to raise this lower level to create on consistent platform, removing the trip hazard while creating a much more friendly space.
