It’s not often that a project is started with the intent of completion a few years down the road. As the flooring needed to be laid as one of the initial steps of the second-floor renovation, newel posts, pickets and railings were installed at that time. But with the intent of continuing renovations in other areas of the second floor (2 washrooms + 4 bedrooms), our client decided to hold off on the stairs due to heavy construction traffic. With these results, we believe it was well worth the wait.
Features:
- Dark oak treads, railings and trim work match the 4-1/4” Preverco oak flooring
- Custom, hand built newel posts. The 8” x 8″ post at the landing complements the 4 4-1/2” x 4-1/2” posts on the second floor. All posts have been secured to the floor joists to ensure life long durability.
- 1-5/16” square pickets complete with square accents
- Coffered walls with inlaid bed moulding to match that used on the newly installed, 2nd floor shaker doors
- Meticulously spaced electrical outlets and Nest thermostat add to the clean look
