King of the Hill

This King City client approached me with a unique request: to transform their relatively new ensuite into a luxurious and functional space tailored for long-term living. While the original ensuite was in excellent condition, it was designed for single-person use, featuring only one sink. With plans to retire in this home, they prioritized a curbless shower design, a double sink and a barrier-free pocket door for the entrance to their primary washroom. They also envisioned a space that exuded elegance and sophistication. The final result esceeded their expectations, leaving them absolutely thrilled.

Features:

  • Ceiling, walls & trim painted in Benjamin Balboa Mist
  • Curbless shower with integrated 42″ wall to wall shelf, finished with 10′ porcelain wall panels and large format floor tiles
  • Schluter® waterproofing system used in the shower enclosure while Schluter® DITRA-HEAT provides in-floor heating
  • 8′ – 2 panel shaker door hung on commercial grade, KN Crowder pocket door hardware
  • Floating vanity produced by Bloomsbury Fine Cabinetry, complete with soft close main drawers and inner rollout drawers
  • Kohler Purist fixtures, wall sconces and washroom accents finished in polished nickel
  • All new window casing/backband along with baseboard/basemould installed
  • Multiple lighting zones; pot lights, wall sconces and under cabinet lighting
